We are pleased to announce 540WMain’s newest hire

Candace Hoffman-Hussain

Dear Community,

Join me in welcoming Candace Hoffman- Hussain to the 540, Inc. team. Candace will serve as Per diem Class Coordinator primarily at our 540WMain location. As a Class Coordinator; Candace will provide as needed hosting, management, and support 540WMain’s evening classes and workshops as well as work in the community. All About Candace Hoffman-Hussain

Why did you decide to work at 540WMain?
CHH: I decided to work for 540 because I love the classes and events that are focused around supporting healthier choices and connecting with others. 
What is it that inspires you to work with 540WMain?
CHH: I’m inspired by the classes and projects that foster connection within our community, such as the book clubs.
Where did you grow up?
CHH: I grew up locally in Rochester, NY. I spent a decade living in Europe and returned to Rochester a few years
When you’re not working at 540WMain what do you like to do? 
CHH: I love spending time with my kids, Jennah, almost two and Zaki who is in the fourth grade. I am a part of several book clubs and a fantastic moms’ group.

How do you stay healthy?

CHH: I absolutely love taking walks with my kids and doing yoga.

What your favorite healthy food to eat?
CHH: I love using my crockpot to make taco meat.
How do you express creativity in your life?
CHH: I like being playful with my kids, cracking jokes, playing with LEGO’s. 
What are you working on now? 
CHH: I am a part-time class coordinator for 540WMain
What do you like best about living in Rochester? 
CHH: I love all of the fantastic family friendly activities, such as the wonderful parks and libraries. 
What do you like least about living in Rochester?
CHH: I am saddened when I hear any Rochesterians speak negatively about different towns or city neighborhoods. I believe that people who should be get to know each other and open their hearts to diversity.
