Intro to Teaching A Culturally Diverse Classroom

Tuesday August 14 // 4-6 PM

This course facilitated by master educator Calvin Eaton will teach you how to embrace the diversity of your students, in explicit and implicit ways. Create inclusive lesson plans, classroom climate, and explore the cultures of all students in meaningful and genuine ways, as well as classroom culture and design that is inclusive of students of all abilities, backgrounds, skin tones and more.


Please note that this class will take place at the Irondequoit Public Library. 2nd floor: Newport Room
—> Open to all but tailored for teachers teaching K-3 classrooms
—> Course is adequate to fulfill NYS professional development hours for teachers
—-> Course is $15 per teacher // teacher will receive course outline, sample lesson plan, and digital certificate of completion
—> Register in advance and pay online

ASL interpreting can be arrange with two weeks notice prior to the start of the course.

Class fee : $15/person // Register in advance // pay at the door

Late Policy

Seat will be held 15 minutes after start of class.

All classes require cancellation at least 48 hours before the date of the class or event. If not then course fee is non-refundable and cannot be applied to a future class or event.
