Community Research Intern

About the Neighborhood Survey

The Community Intern Intern will work alongside myself and our Community Organizer; Jake Sell Hicks to co-design and implement a comprehensive neighborhood survey to be disseminated to community partners, business owners, and families housed in the Susan B. Anthony preservation district. This survey will eventually allow us to inform future programming that is relevant and meets the needs of our direct neighbors.

About the Internship

The Community Research Intern will contribute to the successful development and growth of current and future education and community programming within 540WMain Community Learning Academy. Intern will be responsible for the co-design, data collection and implementation of a comprehensive neighborhood survey to be disseminated to community partners, business owners, and families housed in the Susan B. Anthony preservation district

Length: Fall semester 2018 | Unpaid | Credit bearing

Ideal majors: English, Humanities, Political Science, Human Health, Community Health, Social Sciences, Education

We are soliciting resumes from college students that meet the following qualifications and more:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers on a daily basis.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook), Google, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Instagram and Twitter.
