Community Educator Spotlight | Kim Mason

We are pleased to spotlight Kim Mason, Independent Arbonne Consultant one of our October Community Educators

About Kim Mason

Kim Mason is a teacher and mother of two. A few years ago she noticed she was constantly exhausted and needed a change. After attending a Healthy Living presentation with Arbonne Kim decided to do a 30 day cleanse using Arbonne’s 30 Days to Healthy Living and it completely changed her life. This eventually led her to start her own business as a way to help teach others about the power of detoxing and living a clean lifestyle.

When did you start your business?

KM: I have owned my own business with Arbonne for the past 2 ½ years.

Where did you get the inspiration for your business brand?

KM: Arbonne is a 37 year old health and wellness company. We have been providing botanically-based products following strict European production standards since 1980. I decided to join Arbonne in 2015 because this company stands for everything I believe in: health, serving others, teaching, and generosity.
What makes you want to teach/do your business?

KM: I have a passion for helping others. As an elementary teacher I help students every day. I have found that sharing with others about health, ingredients and our business has the power to change lives. I love to do that and this is what gets me out of bed each morning. Being part of someone’s journey to financial or physical health is humbling and a true honor.

For you how does what you do as a brand or business related to
wellness?

KM: Arbonne is a health and wellness business and every product that we provide helps our bodies to become healthier. We are Pure, Safe, and Beneficial and each product stands by this motto. Not only do I share products, but I also develop relationships with my clients. Within these relationships, I consult about different ways to bring about greater wellness within a person’s life.

How do you stay healthy?

KM: I am very active and love to run and take classes at the YMCA. I have recently started to weight train, which is a new adventure for me. I follow an 80/20 lifestyle and strive to eat clean 80% of the time. Using what I’ve learned through Arbonne I apply all the guidelines that I teach others and have found I’m healthier than I have ever been.

What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your career?

KM: As an entrepreneur, I have been pushed out of my comfort zone over and over again. I love people, but can tend to be shy. Running my own business has grown me as an individual and continues to teach me to face my fears.

When you aren’t working what do you like to do?

KM: When I’m not sharing about health and Arbonne with others, I am busy enjoying my family. Currently I am coaching Girls on the Run at my daughter’s school. I enjoy being outside.

What is it that inspires you to keep going as an entrepreneur?

KM: I am inspired with the idea that  I can help change someone’s health or give them hope for something different in their life. There are options to become healthier. Truly seeing that I have a gift to share with others and that it’s not about me keeps me going as an entrepreneur.

What are you working on now?

KM: I am working on building my team right now and helping others start their own business with Arbonne. Arbonne  is an amazing opportunity and I am growing my team in Rochester and beyond.

What has been your best experience thus far in your business?

KM: My best experience has been the different relationships that I have developed through Arbonne. I have met people I never would have know and developed amazing relationships with team members. Also, seeing the difference that our 30 day program has made in so many lives is so rewarding. Hearing my clients share how easy it was, how much healthier they feel, or the positive responses they have had at doctor appointments is so rewarding.

What has been your biggest challenge as a company? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

KM: The biggest challenge is having people say no without truly looking at our company or products. I believe everyone can make an informed decision, but often people do not truly have the full picture before they say no.

What advice do you have for others interested in pursuing their own business.

KM: I would tell anyone interested in pursuing their own business to dream big and follow their heart. We have nudges for a reason. It will not be easy, but anything worth doing will be worth the struggle.

Is there anything else you’d like the readers to know?

KM: I would love to share with you about Arbonne! When I say starting a business with Arbonne changed my life, that is an understatement. If you have even a question, reach out to me and I’d love to share briefly (20 minutes) to see if this may be for you. I never pressure people, just share. Plus I can share some samples as a thank you.
